Brendan Rodgers 'unhappy' with Celtic board
Brendan Rodgers is "unhappy" with the Celtic board after a striker problem emerged at the club, sources have told Football Insider.
The Glasgow giants have been left with limited options at centre-forward, following the decision to allow Adam Idah to join Swansea City.
Celtic looked set to bring in Kasper Dolberg from Anderlecht, but missed out on the Dane after the deal was hijacked by Ajax.
To make matters worse, backup option David Detro Fofana rejected a move to the Hoops and has remained at Chelsea, leaving Rodgers incredibly "frustrated" at the whole situation.
Celtic eye Kelechi Iheanacho to solve issues
Celtic are working to complete the signing of Kelechi Iheanacho on a free transfer in order to address the problems they are facing in forward areas.
Despite the fact that the deadline has passed, the Glasgow giants are still able to complete a deal for the Nigerian international, after he was released by Spanish side Sevilla.
Iheanacho was far from Celtic's first choice in terms of a centre-forward signing, but they have very few options remaining.
The Hoops are still yet to replace Kyogo Furuhashi, who left for Rennes in January, leaving winger Daizen Maeda to lead the line.

Meanwhile, Rodgers would need to receive a “big offer” from a Premier League club to walk away from Celtic before the end of his contract.
This comes after a frustrating week for the boss, being eliminated from the Champions League before a 0-0 draw against Rangers at Ibrox.
He is believed to have been left annoyed by the lack of urgency put towards improving his squad, demonstrated by recent poor results domestically and in Europe.
Football Insider revealed on 27 August that Rodgers is high on the shortlist at Nottingham Forest and is in contention for the role should it become available.
