Liverpool fans took to Twitter to destroy Alberto Moreno for his performance in their 2-2 draw against West Brom on Saturday.

Moreno played the full 90 minutes of the Premier League clash at the Hawthorns as Jurgen Klopp made five changes to his starting XI in preparation for Tuesday night's Champions League semi-final showdown against Roma.

With Andrew Robertson handed a breather, the Spaniard lined up on the left side of a much-changed defence in which Joe Gomez and Ragnar Klavan were also handed recalls.

Liverpool strolled into a 2-0 lead against the Premier League's bottom club through goals from Danny Ings and Mohamed Salah but late strikes from Jake Livermore and Salomon Rondon delayed West Brom's seemingly inevitable relegation.

The equaliser came from Rondon after Klopp had beefed up his defence with the addition of substitute Dejan Lovren, and pushed Moreno further forward.

The left-back has lost his regular starting slot since suffering an ankle injury in December and supporters are not keen for him to win it back.

A section of those fans labelled Moreno a "car crash" and following the draw at the Hawthorns.
