Chelsea fans are insisting the club have been proven right to sack Mauricio Pochettino after he was defeated by Frank Lampard at Soccer Aid.

The Soccer Aid charity game saw the two former Chelsea bosses face off at Stamford Bridge, with Lampard's England side beating Pochettino's Rest of the World 6-3.

Chelsea heroes Eden Hazard, Petr Cech, Joe Cole and Ashley Cole also featured alongside a host of celebrities and ex-professional footballers.

The game, which raised £15million for UNICEF, saw Pochettino return to Stamford Bridge just two weeks after being sacked as Chelsea boss and replaced by Enzo Maresca.

As revealed by Football Insider, both bosses have been lined up for jobs in England, with Lampard holding talks with both Birmingham City and Burnley, while Pochettino has been linked to Man United.

However, Chelsea fans were pleased to see Lampard get one over on their former boss, despite controversy surrounding his dismissal at the end of the season.

Many fans joked that Lampard may have lined himself up to replace Maresca.
