Paul Heckingbottom said that he would know more tonight about the length of time that January signing Tyler Roberts would be out of action for. Talking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game with Derby County on Wednesday, he confirmed that the young striker would miss the Championship clash and was set for a scan on Tuesday evening. The news was reported by Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post on Tuesday lunchtime.

It's a blow for the 19-year-old attacker who joined from West Brom on deadline day for a fee of around £2.6million. When he signed Heckingbottom confirmed that the player was carrying a knock but it looks like this could prove to be more serious. Leeds will find out the results of the scan tonight and fans will be hoping that he will be able to make a quick impact for his new side, with their faint play-off hopes hanging by a thread.
