Daniel Farke was left extremely disappointed as Leeds United handed all three points to Tottenham at Elland Road.

Mohammed Kudus scored the eventual winner for Spurs on Saturday, 4 October, with Mathys Tel and Noah Okafor sharing efforts in the opening half.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed several chances to net his second goal in Leeds colours, spurning one of his efforts over far and wide after Thomas Frank's side gifted him possession in the penalty area.

Despite having so many chances to get a positive result, Farke was extremely slow to make changes on the pitch, and some of those substitutions were rather questionable.

Joel Piroe only gets 10 minutes at Elland Road

There is no doubt that Farke has great respect for Joel Piroe, recently labelling the attacker "world-class" and the "best finisher" he's ever worked with during his managerial career [Ireland Live].

That is some incredible praise from the manager, but his actions in the dugout do no appear to concur with his own quotes to the press, and they do not appear to be changing anytime soon.

Despite all of Calvert-Lewin's wasted chances, the former Everton man was never taken off, and Piroe was only given the final 10 minutes to make an impact in what was his third league appearance of the season.

He started both early games against Everton and Arsenal, but since then, he has only started in the Carabao Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, being benched until Saturday.

Piroe's Leeds United future is hanging by a thread

Football Insider revealed back in April that Leeds did not view Piroe good enough for the Premier League, and despite Farke's quotes in the media, the news appears to be coming to fruition.

The Whites were clearly pushing for an equaliser against Spurs, and if the Dutchman really is the "best finisher" Farke's ever worked with, why on earth was he not on the pitch sooner?

It was a frustrating game for everyone involved with the home side, but even more so for Piroe, would could be coming to the end of his spell at Elland Road, especially if Leeds remain in the division.
