Erling Haaland's 'weakness' has finally been exposed as footage emerges from Man City - pundit
Paul Robinson has claimed Everton defender Ben Godfrey "has clearly found a weakness" in Man City striker Erling Haaland's game.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Spurs and England number one said Godfrey got under the skin of Haaland in the game at the Etihad on Saturday (31 December).
Man City's title bid was dented by a 1-1 draw with the Toffees.
Haaland scored in the Premier League clash but was perhaps lucky to avoid being sent off in what was a feisty affair.
As shown on talkSPORT (2 January), Haaland was involved in a verbal spat with Godfrey.
Speaking post-match, Pep Guardiola revealed he told Haaland to "be careful" during the match.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the battle between Haaland and Godfrey, Robinson said: "You could see that he was getting frustrated.
"I think we all thought Haaland was untouchable and unplayable but Godfrey has clearly found a weakness.
"It is up to Haaland now to react to what happened positively. If there is any chink in the armour shown other centre-halves are going to pounce on it. They will try and wind Haaland up as Godfrey did.
"You have to give Godfrey credit for that and for the way he played. That is one of the reasons why Frank [Lampard] put him in the team. He knew he was capable of doing a job on him.
"Haaland did not like the way he was played against that day. Perhaps he is human after all. Perhaps defenders can get the better of him if they use the right methods."
