Cardiff City midfielder Loic Damour is in talks with Hearts over a move to the Scottish Premiership club, Football Insider understands.

Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock is willing to let Damour move on as he does not figure in his plans going forward in the Welsh capital.

The 28-year-old joined on a free transfer from French club Bourg-en-Bresse in the summer of 2017.

The midfielder has struggled to establish himself at Cardiff since his arrival and is now seen as surplus to requirements for the Championship side.

The 28-year-old made only four appearances in all competitions for Cardiff last season with two of those appearances coming in the FA and EFL Cup.

A source close to Cardiff told Football Insider that Damour is happy to leave Cardiff in search of regular first-team football as he looks to kick-start his career.

A number of clubs at home and abroad have expressed an interest in signing Damour this summer, but Hearts are in pole position to land the former France Under-20 international.
