Danny Mills has suggested Leeds United should look at signing Jack Butland if Kiko Casilla is to leave the club this summer.

The former Leeds and Manchester City full-back, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed there would be no shortage of goalkeepers willing to move to Elland Road if Marcelo Bielsa's side gain promotion this season.

Butland, 27, has enjoyed a mixed season for Stoke City who have struggled once again in the Championship - the Potters currently 17th and three points above the relegation zone.

Casilla kept an impressive 16 clean sheets in 37 appearances this campaign but made a number of high profile errors prior to receiving an eight game ban for racist abuse.

When asked by Football Insider if he expected the former Real Madrid keeper to still be at Elland Road next season, Mills said: "Joe Hart will be available on a free transfer this summer so that could be an option.

"I also wonder what Jack Butland is doing next season.

"If Leeds are in the Premier League, that will be a massive attraction to a lot of players. There will be options.

"Casilla has done great for Leeds but he is pretty much going to miss the rest of the season if we restart. By the time he is available I suspect Leeds will be promoted."

Butland, who has nine England caps, has just one year left on his current deal at the bet365 Stadium.
