Harrogate Town have agreed to sign Huddersfield attacker Sorba Thomas on loan, Football Insider can reveal.

A temporary move is set to be announced after he signed for the Terriers from Boreham Wood earlier today.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider Thomas will join League Two outfit Harrogate for the rest of this campaign.

Huddersfield Town’s Head of Football Operations Leigh Bromby said after Thomas' signing was confirmed: "The step from the National League to the Championship is a big one and we will take every necessary step to help him be successful."

That now looks set to be away from The John Smith's Stadium and he will continue his development in League Two with EFL new boys Harrogate.

The west Yorkshire outfit are 18th in England's fourth-tier and have already added firepower in the shape of Rangers winger Josh McPake this window.

Manager Simon Weaver and Harrogate fans will be familiar with Thomas after he played the full 90 minutes when the two sides met in last season's National League play-off semi-final.

Harrogate ran out 1-0 winners at the EnviroVent Stadium before beating Notts County in the final.

Thomas scored five goals in the last campaign and has found the net three times in 10 league games this season.
