Hull City are making a move for Kilmarnock striker Bobby Wales, sources have told Football Insider.

Wales, 19, is into the final six months of his contract at Rugby Park and Hull are looking to land the forward on a cut-price deal.

This transfer window will serve as Kilmarnock’s final opportunity to cash in on the teenager unless the two parties agree on a contract extension.

The east Yorkshire club have registered their interest in signing Wales before the January transfer window closes.

Ruben Selles’ side are currently involved in a fight for their survival in the Championship as they sit 22nd in the table

Hull are looking to bolster their squad during the January transfer window to give themselves the best possible chance of remaining in the league come the season’s end.

Hull City want Bobby Wales to provide more firepower

Goals have proven hard to come by this season for the Tigers, with Hull having only scored 25 goals in 26 Championship fixtures.

Only three teams in the entire division have scored fewer goals than Selles’ team, which is why they are focused on signing a striker in this window.

The Scotland Under-19 international is seen as someone capable of doing that, and Hull could provide him with more regular game time.

Wales has made 14 appearances in the Scottish Premiership, but only 22 percent of those have been from the starting 11.

The striker has scored 18 goals and provided nine assists throughout his 60 career appearances so far as he continues to develop his game.
