Leeds United are set to sell their fourth defender in a week as Tyler Denton prepares to continue their exodus of senior players, Football Insider can reveal.

Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa has given the green light for Denton to move on as he is well down the first-team pecking order.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that the left-back, 23, will leave Elland Road on a permanent basis following an agreement with the club hierarchy.

Denton still had one year to run on his United deal, but the club have decided to pay him up and release him from his contract to allow him to find a new club.

Denton, who has had spells out on loan at Port Vale and Peterborough during the last two seasons, is expected to join a club in the Football League.

The full-back has come through the ranks at Elland Road and he has made three appearances in total for the first team.

He will become the fourth Leeds defender to leave the club in just a week after Pontus Jansson was sold to Brentford for £5.5million, Aapo Halme signed for Barnsley for £500,000 and Liam Kitching moved to Forest Green.

In other Leeds United news, Danny Mills has told Football Insider his information from the club is a new defender will be signed "fairly soon".
