Nottingham Forest will not consider January offers for star defender Murillo amid interest from Real Madrid, sources have told Football Insider.

The 22-year-old is wanted by several elite clubs after his stunning displays for Forest in the Premier League.

Real Madrid have stepped up their interest after a serious knee injury for Eder Militao, while David Alaba remains out of action with a similar problem.

Murillo has been at the heart of the Forest defence this term with Nuno Espirito Santo's side flying high in the Premier League.

He has played every league minute this term with the Midlands side sitting fifth in the top flight after 11 games.

Sources say Forest feel the Brazillian is still improving and are confident his long contract provides sufficient leverage to reject January bids.

The left-footer, who has forged a formidable partnership with summer signing Nikola Milenković, is under contract at the City Ground until June 2028 after signing from Corinthians in 2023.

Murillo earned his first senior Brazil call-up in recent weeks and was an unused substitute for the 1-1 draw against Venezuela last week (14 November).

Murillo and Espirito Santo's side are next in action against Arsenal on Saturday (23 November).
