Rangers are plotting a summer swoop to sign St. Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clark, Football Insider can reveal.

The Ibrox giants are in the market for a new keeper this summer as they prepare for the exits of back-up senior duo Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick.

An Ibrox source has told Football Insider that Rangers are keeping close tabs on Clark, who has had an impressive season between the sticks for the SPL club.

But the Glasgow giants face competition for Clark's signature from clubs south of the border, with three English Championship outfits also monitoring his situation.

The 6ft 3in colossus has just over a year remaining on his contract at St. Johnstone, which he signed in March 2017.

Clark has made 94 appearances for the SPL club since signing from Queen of the South, with 39 of those coming this season.
