Exclusive: Robinson casts doubts over future of 'Outstanding' Celtic star after Copenhagen draw
Paul Robinson has cast doubts over how long Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard will remain at the club after his performance against Copenhagen on Thursday night.
The former Tottenham and Leeds goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, was blown away by the 22-year-old's display up top during the 1-1 draw away from Parkhead.
The Frenchman opened the scoring in Denmark before the home side responded in the second half, a Fraser Forster penalty save ensuring that the Hoops return to Glasgow on level pegging.
Robinson admits he was massively impressed with what he saw and questioned just how long he can remain at the Scottish giants before other clubs pounce.
Robinson told Football Insider: "They should have been home and coasting really, they had the chances to beat them. I thought Edouard was outstanding, he was really key to everything that they did.
"I like him, I really like him, I think he's a top striker. The problem that Celtic will have is keeping him. I thought he should have scored in the first minute on Thursday, he's had a good run of assists as well, he's the all-round striker.
"He's done it all season, he's still 22 so he's going to be a real asset for Celtic as they try to keep him."
Edouard has been in fantastic form in front of goal this season, netting 24 times and chipping in with 17 assists across all competitions.
He has a total of 121 appearances under his belt for the Hoops, having joined the club permanently from PSG after an initial loan spell.
