Stoke City defender Josh Tymon is in talks over a move to Portugal to join FC Famalicao, Football Insider understands.

Tymon has found himself frozen out of the first-team picture at the Bet365 Stadium this summer with manager Nathan Jones willing to let him move on.

The left-back, 20, had a spell on loan at MK Dons in 2018 and Tymon is now set for another move in search of regular first-team football.

A number of clubs have expressed an interest in Tymon, but FC Famalicao are are working on a deal to take the defender to Portugal.

The Portugese top-tier club are coached by Joao Pedro Sousa, who worked with Tymon during his time at Hull City working as assistant manager to Marco Silva.

Sousa is a big fan of Tymon from their time together at Hull and he is keen to be reunited with the left-back at FC Famalicao.

Potters boss Jones has given the green light for the youngster to be sold after making just seven appearances for the club in two years since joining from Hull.
