Wolves are among three Premier League clubs who have joined the race to sign red-hot Celtic and Rangers target Tyrese Campbell, Football Insider has learned.

The Stoke City striker, 20, is the subject of strong interest north and south of the border this month amid as he is out of contract in the summer.

A Stoke source has told Football Insider that the club have opened talks with Campbell over a new deal but they are aware of strong interest from rival teams.

Wolves, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are in the hunt for the forward, who can play as a central striker or out wide.

This comes after Celtic and Rangers have already made clear their interest in taking advantage of cross-border rules to land the England Under-20 forward.

The player had been unhappy at his fringe status in Michael O'Neill's struggling side.

But he won back his place in the starting XI over the festive period and his goals propelled the Potters to wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield.

Wolves, Bournemouth and Palace have the resources to blow Celtic and Rangers out of the water in the race for Campbell.

But the Scottish giants have one major advantage in that they are able to take advantage of cross-border rules to sign him for a £300,000 fee in the summer.
