'Great player', 'Class' - Fans react as journo claims Leeds to beat Celtic to sign international
By Richard Parks
Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to welcome the possible signing of Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom this summer.
The Sun's transfer expert Alan Nixon reported on his personal Twitter account on Sunday morning that United are "strong favourites" to land the in-demand Ghana international, 26.
Yiadom is highly sought after by clubs in the Premier League, Championship and Scottish Premiership after being a mainstay for Barnsley since joining from Barnet in the summer of 2016.
He has made 31 appearances in all competitions for the second-tier strugglers this season, including 29 league starts.
Leeds manager Paul Heckingbottom is keen to be reunited with the versatile full-back, who is available on a free transfer when his contract ends at Oakwell in June.
Supporters have claimed on social media that Yiadom is a "great player" and a "class" act, although some are concerned as to whether he is better at left-back or right-back.
