Ibrox Sources: Rangers 28-yr-old tells agent to find him new club after crunch talks
Wes Foderingham has told his agent to find him a new club after crunch talks with Rangers over his future, Football Insider has learned.
The Glasgow giants have set their sights on signing a new keeper in January and are ready to let Foderingham go as long as they can secure a senior replacement.
Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that Foderingham has had a meeting with the club hierarchy and is looking at finding a new club in January ahead of his contract expiring next summer.
The 28-year-old will only leave in the forthcoming window for the right deal and is willing to wait until he's a free agent if one isn't forthcoming.
It means that the long-serving keeper, who was brought to Rangers in 2015 from Swindon Town by Mark Warburton, is now set to end his lengthy spell in Scotland.
A return to England in search of regular football is on the cards for the Ibrox number two.
He has made just six appearances for Rangers since Allan McGregor joined last year on a free transfer and was immediately installed as the number one.
Foderingham has played four times this season but his only appearance since August was in the 4-0 SPL mauling of Ross County on 30 October.
McGregor is about to be handed a new contract after firmly establishing himself as integral to the team's title challenge and bid to end Celtic's dominance of Scottish football.
