Forgotten Celtic player needs loan exit to revive stagnating Parkhead career

Celtic midfielder Eboue Kouassi has had an up and down time at the Hoops since joining the club from Krasnodar for a fee of £3million last season.

The forgotten player's first season was interrupted by injuries and a bout of malaria, whilst this season he suffered a knee injury against Kilmarnock which kept him out of action for three months.

However, after recovering from his injury the 20-year-old must have impressed during the winter break training in Dubai, as he started a run of three league games directly following the Hoops' return to action.

Sadly for the player, he hasn't featured since a poor performance in the Europa League defeat to Zenit, where he was substituted at half-time.

The player is still only young and has a long career ahead of him, but his lack of game time is in danger of stagnating his career, as only started eight games this season.

A move on loan next season could go a long way to help the player, perhaps even to another Scottish Premiership side. That certainly helped Kristoffer Ajer, who after a season with Kilmarnock is now firmly established in the Hoops first-team.

At an outlay of £3million, you have perhaps expected a bit more from Kouassi then he has shown so far in his year with the Hoops, a loan move could help to begin that process.
