QPR have launched a move to temp forgotten wonderkid John Bostock back to English football, according to a report.

The Mirror claim Bostock is in talks to join the Championship club from Belgian top flight club OH-Leuven.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink signed the central midfielder at old club Royal Antwerp and now wants a summer reunion at west London-based Rangers.

Bostock, tipped for stardom after making his Crystal Palace debut aged 15 before joining Tottenham at 16 in 2008 amid a huge media circus, has kick-started his career on the continent.

He remains both Spurs' and Palace's youngest-ever player but has never made a Premier League appearance and was released from White Hart Lane in 2013.

However, the 24-year-old has become a mainstay of the OH-Leuven team after being a key tier in their promotion from the second tier last season.

He has continued to be influential in 2015-16, scoring seven goals in 24 top-flight appearances from his central midfield station.

The Mirror claim he is now expected to make what would be a surprise transfer to the Championship given that he has not been played in England for a number of years.
