Celtic head into Wednesday night's clash against Dundee hoping to open up a huge 15 point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Results in the weekend's games saw the Hoops stretch their lead to 12 points following the 3-0 win over Ross County, and the Bhoys are only three wins away from clinching another Scottish Premiership title.

Of course, lurking in the horizon following the Dundee game and the match against Hamilton on Sunday is the Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers.

It will be interesting to see if Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers take that match into account when selecting his team for the match against Dundee, or perhaps he isn't even thinking about the game yet, even though supporters are.

The Hoops haven't been at their most fluent in recent games, but the win against Ross County did feature some stand-out performances.

The Bhoys are expected to make four changes from the side which defeated Ross County.

Here, Football Insider names the Hoops' expected first XI to take on Dundee.

GOALKEEPER AND DEFENDERS

Dorus de Vries (Goalkeeper) - Expected to return to replace the ineligible Scott Bain, the 37-year-old will have it all to prove to fans who think he isn't good enough to play for the Bhoys

Mikael Lustig (Centre-back) - Expected to keep his place in the team after a decent performance against Ross County, the 31-year-old isn't a natural defender but is good enough to repel Dundee

Jack Hendry (Centre-back) - Expected to replace Dedryck Boyata, the 22-year-old will no doubt be playing with a point to prove against the team he left to join the Hoops in January

Kristoffer Ajer (Centre-back) - The 19-year-old is expected to maintain his run of consecutive starts after yet another excellent performance in the win over Ross County, he has been a stand-out performer

MIDFIELD

Callum McGregor (Central-midfield) - Unheralded player has been in a good run of form for the Hoops in recent matches and is expected to keep his position in the Hoops starting line-up

Scott Brown (Central-midfield) - The Hoops skipper is expected to receive a huge ovation from Hoops fans after somehow managing to avoid serious injury following an awful challenge by Ross County's Andrew Davies

Stuart Armstrong (Attacking-midfield) - The 26-year-old was back to his form of last season in the win over Ross County, if he keeps that kind of form up fans will be desperate for him to sign a new contract

James Forrest (Left-wing) - Had his best game in a few weeks against Ross County and was involved in two of the goals, the winger is expected to keep his place in the team and has had a great season

Tom Rogic (Attacking-midfield) - Scored a great goal against Ross County and is expected to retain his place as is able to do creative things with a ball that are unmatched in Scottish football

Patrick Roberts (Right-wing) - Expected to replace Scott Sinclair, the on-loan Manchester City player more than deserves his first start of 2018 to show that he has still got the ability to dismantle teams. Attacker Sinclair has been off the boil and is expected to be axed as Rodgers rotates.
