Liam Henderson has sent a goodbye message to Celtic fans after he agreed terms to switch to Italian Serie B club Bari last week. The 21-year-old wrapped up a permanent switch to Italy on January 17 after a successful trial period under the watch of manager Fabio Grosso. Henderson's deal at Celtic was due to expire at the end of the season, so it was very likely that he would have left anyway having been well down the pecking order in Brendan Rodgers' side. Now, Henderson has taken to Twitter to wish goodbye to supporters of the Scottish champions. "Thank you for the great memories everyone at Celtic Football Club. God Bless," he said, on his

on Wednesday.

Henderson has barely featured this season and had made just one appearance, which came against Dundee in October. Since emerging through the ranks at Parkhead, Henderson had made 37 total appearances for Celtic, scoring three goals. He has had loan spells at Hibernian and Rosenberg, but having returned to Glasgow he continued to fail to stamp his authority on the senior squad. A move to Italy now spells a fresh start for the Scotland Under-21 international. Bari are placed sixth in the Serie B table after drawing 1-1 with Cesena on Saturday. Henderson was not involved in that game but could make his debut for the southern Italy club on Saturday when they welcome Empoli to the Stadio San Nicola. In other Celtic news
