'Got the whole works' - Exclusive: Hutton reacts to Mourinho luring England forward to Spurs

Alan Hutton insists that Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson could reject a move to Tottenham in search of guaranteed game time.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Spurs and Scotland defender believes that the 28-year-old would rather move to a lesser club if it means he would feature regularly.

As revealed by Football Insider, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has been in touch with the Bournemouth star to gauge his interest in a move to the club following the Cherries' relegation.

However, having seen the striker establish himself as a mainstay at Bournemouth in recent years, Hutton believes that the hitman could reject the move on the basis he would play second fiddle to Harry Kane.

Asked if Wilson could turn Spurs down on the basis of a lack of game time, Hutton told Football Insider: "Yeah, of course he could, exactly. This is a guy at Bournemouth who plays week in, week out when he's fit over the course of his time there.

"To change that to be a squad player, it's difficult, even though you're at a big club with a great training ground, great manager, great squad, it's got the whole works but at the end of the day you want to be playing on the Saturday, you want to be on that team sheet.

"If you're not, you're unhappy so it's whether he's willing to sacrifice the game time to be at a good club. I think if he's got other options where he's going to be the main man, he would probably take that over joining Spurs." 

Wilson has scored 67 goals in 187 appearances for Bournemouth, with 41 of those strikes in the Premier League.

He also netted on his England debut against the USA and he has four caps for the Three Lions to date.
