Max Gradel has expressed his wish on Twitter that Leeds United's latest manager upheaval can inspire them to return to the Premier League. The Leeds icon, who plays for Toulouse in the French top flight, took to his personal Twitter account on Wednesday to detail his hope that "United get a good manager" who can end their 14-year stay in the lower leagues.

Gradel's message does not appear to take account of the fact that Paul Heckingbottom was appointed on Tuesday morning, 36 hours after the sacking of Thomas Christiansen.
Heckingbottom has become Leeds' eighth different manager in the last four years and their 17th since they were relegated from the Premier League in 2004.
Nevertheless, Gradel's interest in the club will be appreciated by supporters who adore him for his exploits between 2009 and 2011, when he scored 25 goals in 82 matches and spearheaded their promotion from League One to the Championship.
The 30-year-old is in fine form this season for Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse after joining from Bournemouth last summer, with eight goals from 20 appearances, including one in front of Leeds' talent-spotters before Christmas when they were watching his side in action against Bordeaux.
