Guus Hiddink has revealed that he will make a late decision on whether to hand new signing Alexandre Pato his Chelsea debut on Wednesday night.

The Brazilian striker joined the champions last week on loan but has not played since November and has only trained with his new club for a few days.

Speaking at his media briefing on Tuesday afternoon, Hiddink said the 26-year-old is not yet quite up to speed.

"I don’t know if he’s up to the game," said the Chelsea manager. "He’s in preparation and not fully fit. The paperwork is done and he’s available.

"It’s another thing physically and mentally. We have to prepare him well."

Chelsea travel to Watford for Wednesday's Premier League clash aiming to maintain their fine form since Hiddink replaced Jose Mourinho in mid-December.

In other Chelsea team news, Hiddink is ready to welcome Lois Remy back into the squad when he is fully fit after a deadline day loan move to Leicester failed to materialise.
