Rangers are plotting a triple summer swoop for Liverpool rising stars Ryan Kent, Ben Woodburn and Curtis Jones, Football Insider understands.

Manager Steven Gerrard wants to make use of his Anfield contacts once again in the forthcoming window after Kent's hugely successful loan spell.

An Ibrox source has told Football Insider that attacking midfielders Woodburn, 19, and Jones, 18, are on Gerrard's radar as well as winger Kent, 22.

Gerrard knows he faces a major battle to re-sign Kent for next season amid fears he has reached a level that pushes him out of the price range of the Glasgow giants, especially if Liverpool decide to cash in on the home-grown ace this summer.

The manager is eager to bring more young attacking gems to Ibrox and give them the game time and exposure to a high level of senior football that they would not be able to get at their parent club.

The Liverpool icon would love to bring all three of Kent, Woodburn and Jones to Ibrox next season but recognises it might not be realistic at this stage.

Woodburn and Jones have both played for the Liverpool first team but have been playing regularly for the Under-23s and were in a strong XI that included Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Gomez last weekend that demolished Leicester City 3-0.
