'I'll make mistakes' - West Ham mainstay makes admission after Moyes slams him on Sky Sports
West Ham defender Declan Rice has admitted he will make mistakes after failing to clear an Aaron Ramsey cross which led to an Arsenal goal on Sunday.
The Hammers were clinging on to a point against the Gunners when in the 82nd minute Rice, 19, ducked out of the way of the the Wales international's ball into the box, only for it to continue on it's way into the back of the net.
David Moyes' side crumbled after that and went on to lose 4-1 when Alexandre Lacazette's brace rounded off a convincing-looking win for Arsenal.
After the game, Moyes slammed Rice on Sky Sports, saying that he had "no idea" what the defender was doing.
That has prompted Rice to take to his personal Twitter account to admit that it was his mistake and that hopefully he will learn from it.
"I'm young.. I'll make mistakes.. it's all a leaning process to get to the top. Thank you too the fans again who were brilliant ready to bounce back next week," he said.
Rice has been a mainstay for West Ham in the second-half of the season.
He has made 26 appearances in all competitions for the club, featuring as both a defensive midfielder and more recently a centre-back.

Rice has been great for West Ham over the last few months and it's a shame that his mistake led to his side rolling over at Arsenal. The Irish centre-back has a lot of potential and is real fan favourite, so everyone is completely gutted about how Ramsey grabbed his goal. At the end of the day, Rice is only 19 and has a lot of work to do before becoming a top player. Moyes slammed him on live television after the game and rightly so, he shouldn't be holding punches with any of his players when the club has been in such a desperate situation. He will learn from it and get better.
