Jack Harrison's injury will impact his chances of leaving Leeds United this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on Saturday (22 July) and quoted by Leeds Live, new boss Daniel Farke confirmed Harrison, 26, is likely to be out with injury until after the 2023-24 campaign's first international break in September.

The winger has a hip problem and has been working with club medical staff at Thorp Arch since returning for pre-season training.

It is believed Harrison is keen to play at a higher level following Leeds' relegation to the Championship last season.

Interest is still likely to surface in the former Man City ace but is unlikely to reach an advanced stage unless he can prove his fitness.

However, the Toffees have since advanced their interest in the winger's Whites teammate Wilfried Gnonto.

Harrison came close to leaving Elland Road in January.

He rejected a move to Leicester in the final throes of the winter window and pledged his future to Leeds by signing a new contract.

That deal is set to expire in June 2028.

Harrison notched six goals and 10 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for Leeds last term.

He helped the club to promotion during the Yorkshire giants' last spell in the Championship and has managed 34 goals and 32 assists in 206 appearances at Elland Road.

Leeds

Leeds have already lost Rodrigo, Robin Koch, Tyler Roberts, Joel Robles, Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca this summer.

In turn, Farke's men have added Chelsea ace Ethan Ampadu on a permanent basis.
