Rangers fans are urging James Tavernier to leave the club in the coming weeks after a new transfer twist has opened the door for him to potentially depart.

A new report revealed that Rangers bosses are believed to be open to selling their club captain, with interest remaining in the full-back from Turkey.

The Turkish transfer window remains open until September 18, providing Super Lig teams another two weeks to make potential bids.

The 32-year-old Rangers star had been linked with moves away from Ibrox Stadium throughout the summer, but nothing has come to fruition so far.

Tavernier has been a crucial figure in the starting lineup since he joined in 2015, making 466 appearances and scoring 125 goals.

Tavernier is currently under contract with the Scottish giants until 2026, putting the club in a commanding position for any negotiations.

His dip in performances has led to supporters hoping that the club will cash in on him if an appropriate offer comes in.

Btw if the interest is real in Tavernier from Turkey the club should absolutely be punting him

I think James Tavernier needs to read the room and if there is this apparent interest still from Turkey then he needs to go otherwise the toxicity towards him will completely taint his time at the club and the things he has done well. Its not far away from that already...

He’s lost 2 full yards of pace over last 2 seasons which has been devastating for him as he cannot get up and down like he used too.
