Kyle Walker has issued his congratulations to Alex Pritchard after he completed a transfer to Norwich.

The Canaries revealed on their official website on Thursday morning that the playmaker, 23, has signed a four-year contract after they agreed the terms of a deal with Tottenham.

Walker, 26, subsequently took to Twitter to wish his former Spurs team-mate "all the best" at his new club.

Norwich did not disclose the fee for the Spurs academy graduate but it has been widely reported that the Premier League club were holding out for a total package worth £8million.

Norwich have clinched the signing of Pritchard after hijacking his move to Brighton.

Sky Sports claimed on their website that a bid had been accepted by Tottenham from the Seagulls after extensive talks and Pritchard was due to begin a medical late on Tuesday night.

But Norwich made a last-minute bid to prise Pritchard from White Hart Lane and win the race for the playmaker.

Pritchard, who operates in the number 10 role but can also play out wide, made a name for himself during a loan spell at Brentford in the 2014-15 season, where he scored 12 times.

The 23-year-old playmaker spent the second half of last season on-loan at West Brom, but failed to make a single start for the Baggies, managing just two Premier League sub appearances.

Pritchard told the Norwich website: "I'm ready to come here, fight for my place and hopefully play well.

"I feel I need to go out and prove myself again in football. I'm 23 now so it's about time I had my own path really.

"I've had a full pre-season and with our first game at the weekend I'm looking forward to hopefully bedding myself in quickly."

The England Under-21 international has appeared just twice for Spurs, and has also spent time on loan at both Swindon and Peterborough.
