Celtic and Leeds are set to go to battle for the services of Championship goalkeeper Keiren Westwood, according to a report.

The Sun claim that both sides are plotting a move for the 33-year-old Sheffield Wednesday keeper, who might have played his last game for the club if he moves.

Westwood is currently injured and out for the rest of the season, but that hasn't stopped the two sides pursuing him.

They won't have it their own way though, as Premier League side Southampton are also in the frame.

They're looking for a replacement for Fraser Forster but could also land in the Championship as they're currently in the drop zone and five points adrift with a few games to go.

Football Insider verdict:

Oh how Leeds must be wishing they'd never got rid of Rob Green. Since the veteran left after new signing Felix Wiedwald was bought in, it's been a problem area for the side. Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan have been dropped and reinstated, and now Under-21 star Bailey Peacock-Farrell has been promoted to the first team. he's been doing a brilliant job and must be hoping he's done enough to make the jersey his next season. However, if this report is true, he might have to act as understudy for another old-timer. Westwood would be good for either Celtic or Leeds, but neither actually need him.
