Ezgjan Alioski was recalled to the Leeds United team for their 2-0 win against Birmingham City on Tuesday night - and fans took to Twitter to deliver mixed verdicts on his performance.

The Montenegro international got the nod to start ahead of Kemar Roofe in the only change from the Leeds team that demolished Burton Albion 5-0 on Saturday.

Leeds secured another convincing win, as goals from Samuel Saiz and substitute Stuart Dallas edged them to the top of the Championship, a position they last held under Howard Wilkinson in 1990.

But Alioski lasted only 60 minutes of the Elland Road clash before he was replaced by Roofe in the first of the three substitutes used by manager Thomas Christiansen.

Leeds fans were split on Alioski's display, with some claiming he put in a good shift while others saying he was a disappointment.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Leeds' win lifts them above Cardiff City, who were beaten 3-0 at Preston North End tonight.

Christiansen's side remain unbeaten in all competitions this season, with their seven league matches accumulating 17 points.
