Leeds United fans have been out in force on Twitter after it was reported that their former manager Garry Monk was being lined up to replace Steve Cotterill at Birmingham.

The Guardian has reported that Monk, 38, is in pole position to take charge at St Andrew's as Blues look to try and avoid relegation from the Championship.

The Guardian reports that Birmingham have had their eyes on Monk ever since he left Swansea in 2015.

It is understood that Gordon Strachan has also been in talks with Blues, who sit 22nd in the Championship standings and three points away from safety.
