Leeds United will definitely need to add to their squad in pretty much all positions over the summer and one area that has got fans frustrated most of this season has been in central midfield.

Former West Brom and Norwich midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has been tearing up the Scottish top-flight since joining Kilmarnock in November and manager Steve Clarke has dropped a huge bombshell over his future at Rugby Park this week.

Clarke, who also worked with Mulumbu at The Hawthorns, admitted that he will find it hard to keep hold of the ex-DR Congo international when his deal at the club expires in the summer and Leeds must absolutely go all out to sign up the Killie star in the summer.

Since joining at November, Mulumbu has helped lift the club from relegation battlers up to fifth in the Scottish Premiership.

They have lost just one game with the ex-Baggies ace on the pitch and he has ran rings around Celtic and Rangers, scoring a winning goal against Brendan Rodgers' side in February while making a complete mockery of Scott Brown.

Eunan O'Kane, Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips have all been unimpressive this season and one or two of them could be offloaded by director of football Victor Orta.

Mulumbu would be a perfect partner for Adam Forshaw because of his high work-rate, ability both on and off the ball and his experience from top-flight football.
