Charlie Taylor is destined to leave Leeds in January or next summer, according to a report.

The Yorkshire Evening Post claim the 23-year-old will not be at Elland Road beyond his current contract, which expires next summer.

It is said that Leeds are in line to receive a fee in compensation provided he joins another English club.

The left-back was the subject of constant interest during the summer window after handing in a transfer request to push through a move.

Earlier in the summer, the Yorkshire Evening Post claimed that Eddie Howe's Bournemouth were ready to rival Liverpool and West Brom for Leeds' academy graduate, with The Sun claiming a bid of £8million would be enough to land the Leeds' 2015-16 player of the season.

The Sun reported last month that the Yorkshire giants are preparing a new offer to keep Taylor away from the clutches of Premier League sides.

The youngster has made the left-back slot his own at Leeds and has played the full 90 minutes in all 13 of Leeds' domestic encounters this season.

Leeds fans will now be hoping that Taylor can be tempted to settle at Elland Road as Garry Monk's side aim to chase down a playoff place.

Leeds beat Barnsley 2-1 in their last league match to climb into the top half of the Championship for the first time this season.

Monk's side are 11th in the table ahead of Saturday's trip to Derby after securing five wins from six matches in all competitions, and their fourth in five league encounters.

In other Leeds transfer news, a 25-year-old has signed for the club after agreeing terms.
