Leeds United fans have called for the club to re-sign Jack Clarke from Sunderland after new questions were raised over the future of Wilfried Gnonto.

Reports claimed the Italian winger is "pushing" to leave Elland Road before the 30 August deadline, sparking rage amongst the supporters.

Following the departures of Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray and Georginio Rutter, Gnonto could be the latest star name to leave this summer.

This comes after the controversy of last year's transfer window when he attempted to force through a move to Everton in the closing stages.

Fans are now insisting they must get a deal for the Sunderland winger over the line, particularly if Gnonto gets his wish.

Leeds United fans rage as Wilfried Gnonto transfer news emerges

It has been a turbulent summer for Leeds after seeing several of Daniel Farke's star players leave the club due to release clauses in their contracts.

Following the departure of Rutter, supporters assumed they had seen the end of the big-name outgoings, but Gnonto may yet follow his teammates away from Elland Road.

Fans have flocked to social media in response to the news, with many naming Clarke as his potential replacement and calling for Leeds to do a deal.

Others, meanwhile, were critical of Gnonto for once again pushing to leave the club.
