Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has sanctioned a move for the Reds to pursue Juventus stopper Gianluigi Buffon this summer, according to a report in The Sun - and fans are loving it.
The legendary keeper, who has made 176 appearances for the Italian national senior side has had a career on the international scene which has spanned three decades from when he started in 1993.
And now at 40 years of age, and his contract due to end in Turin this June, the stopper is reportedly looking at options both on and off the pitch.
But with the Serie A side reportedly wanting a fee of £87million to part ways with the Brazilian, and Klopp turning his attention to Buffon, that move now looks as though it is dead in the water.
But judging by reactions on social media to the news, Reds fans aren't bothered and would love to see the long-standing Italian number one through the doors at Anfield this summer.
