Justin Kluivert has just been named as the best teenage player in the world by Goal and Daniel Levy must move now to ensure that he continues his development in north London.
And he has already admitted that he wants to play at Spurs in the future.
The Mirror quoted him as saying: "England appeals to me: Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea or Manchester United are nice clubs where I can see myself playing."
The 18-year-old Ajax winger has come up through the youth set-up at the club, and has been broken through into the first-team, wowing in 24 appearances in the Eredivisie this season.
He has scored seven goals and provided four assists in these games and he's fast developing a reputation as one of the future greats of the game.
That reputation has just been given another huge boost after topping a table of 50 of the best teenagers in the world by Goal.
"'Justin Kluivert is like Neymar!' Ronald de Boer is not the only famous figure getting excited by the potential of Patrick Kluivert’s son Justin, the Ajax winger on a seemingly pre-ordained path to superstardom," wrote Goal.
"Indeed, agent Mino Raiola is rubbing his hands with glee having signed up a prodigious talent who has already forced his way into the Netherlands squad.
"Kluivert remains under contract to Ajax until 2019 but a player of such super-sonic speed and wonderful skills looks destined to follow in his father’s footsteps by joining at least one of Europe’s elite."
Kluivert's growing reputation means that Goal is right - he will join one of Europe's elites soon, but he obviously wants a move to England.
Pochettino can convince him that his development would be best served moving to a club where attacking football is cherished and young players are given the chance to flourish.
If Levy doesn't move fast though, the cat might be well and truly out of the bag, and the cost prohibitive.
