Liverpool fans were wowed by Federico Chiesa after he made his full debut for Arne Slot's side in their win against West Ham.

The Reds cruised to an impressive 5-1 win despite fielding a rotated side at Anfield after braces from Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo, and one goal from Mohamed Salah.

A Jarell Quansah own goal denied the home side a clean sheet, but it was ultimately a comfortable victory for Slot's men.

However, the focus of many rested on the performance of Chiesa, who made his first start for the club since arriving from Juventus in the summer.

The 26-year-old picked up an assist and turned in an eye-catching all-round display as he made his claim for a more regular starting spot at Anfield.

Chiesa's arrival came alongside plenty of expectations despite his relatively low £10million up-front price tag as he was the only outfield signing made by the Reds this summer.

However, he is already living up to those expectations, and left the home crowd stunned with the standard of his performance against West Ham.

Federico Chiesa stuns Liverpool fans with 'incredible' display v West Ham

The attacking options on display at Anfield this season have been the highlight of Slot's tenure so far, with all of them thriving in his system.

Salah, Gakpo, Jota, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and now Chiesa have all shone in the new system, leaving the boss with a selection headache for upcoming games.

After an impressive first start of the club, many supporters have taken to social media to insist Chiesa should be one of those starters as he was labelled "incredible".
