'Liverpool know Trent Alexander-Arnold's transfer decision', Insider reveals
Liverpool could cash in on Trent Alexander-Arnold in the January transfer window rather than letting him leave for free next summer.
That is according to former Man United, Tottenham and Aston Villa scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the club could take the opportunity to boost their financial position.
This comes days after Brown told Football Insider that the 26-year-old has already made a decision about his future at Anfield.
He went on to explain that, should Alexander-Arnold commit to a move to Real Madrid, Liverpool could decide to take the money and reinvest elsewhere.
It was reiterated that the club do not want to lose their star man, who remains a crucial part of Arne Slot's plans for the future and has made 14 appearances so far this season.
However, the decision about his has been taken out of their hands and will be up to the player, and they could opt to "cut their losses".

Football Insider revealed on 26 October that a January move could be on the cards, with Real Madrid looking to replace the injured Dani Carvajal as soon as they can.
Brown, who has a wealth of experience working with players at the top level and spent over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that an early exit could be something Liverpool are open to.
"Liverpool will know whether or not he's going," he told Football Insider.
"And if he's definitely going, they might feel they can bring in a bit of money for him in January and bite the bullet rather than letting him go for free.
"They don't want to lose him because he's an important player and he's a local boy and everything.
"But they have to be realistic, and if they're going to lose him anyway, why not make some money?
"I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them cut their losses and take what they can.
"That money can then be reinvested elsewhere if they want to strengthen the squad.
"Liverpool aren't flushed with money like a Chelsea for example, so if they can make some good money from his sale it will be an interesting decision."
