Liverpool have joined Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham in the race to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed that Arne Slot's side are the latest to take an interest in the attacking midfielder after his England performances.

Sources also suggested that Man United and Chelsea are keeping tabs on the 26-year-old, with any deal set to cost a huge fee.

Eze has a £60million release clause, although there are further complications to the clause, and one of the conditions is said to be dependent on whether the buying club is in the Champions League.

Olise's exit included a similarly complicated release clause which allowed the German giants to swoop ahead of Chelsea for his signature.

Eze joined Palace in 2020, making the move for QPR in a deal worth £16million, and has since gone on to make 124 appearances for the south Londoners.

During that time, he has scored 26 goals and provided 17 assists, having now scored ten or more goals in back-to-back Premier League seasons.

His game-changing impact in the final third and ability on the ball has inspired interest from elite clubs not just in England but across Europe, with Liverpool the latest.

Last season, the attacking midfielder scored 11 goals and provided six assists across all competitions as he helped the Eagles to secure a top-half finish, above rivals Brighton.

Six of his 11 goals, and three of his six assists, came after the arrival of Oliver Glasner at Selhurst Park.

His performances for Palace saw him named in England's Euro 2024 squad, where he has made three appearances to help Gareth Southgate's side reach the final.

Sources also say that his involvement in the England squad has whetted Eze's appetite for playing at the highest level, with clubs prepared to offer him the chance to step up.
