English clubs have become accustomed to the quick turnaround between Champions League football and domestic action, but some handle the demands better than others.

With the season now fully underway, Premier League teams will have to fully maximise their squads so they can compete on both fronts.

With the likes of Qarabag and Kairat Almaty in this season's Champions League, some club's will face grueling mid-week trips.

After matchday one of the Champions League, only Liverpool won their next Premier League fixture, though the Reds may find that tricker to achieve this time around.

Liverpool

Liverpool have had the longest journey of any English club in the Champions League this week, when the Reds travelled to Turkey to face Galatasaray.

Victor Osimhen's first half penalty condemned Liverpool to back-to-back defeats following their loss at Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Arne Slot's squad face another trip this weekend when they travel to back to London to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal

Arsenal will have the easiest week in terms of travelling, with the Gunners having hosted Olympiacos before they welcome West Ham to Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta was able to make six changes against the Greek side and still walk away with a comfortable 2-0 win.

Martin Odegaard starred for Arsenal against Olympiacos, whilst Myles Lewis-Skelly impressed in just his second start of the season.

Players on the bench like Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice will all be expected to return to the starting XI against West Ham, all without having to do any travelling.
