sources understand.

Arsenal are in advanced talks with the Turkish club about selling the Germany forward for a fee of £2.1million. Podolski, 30, is surplus to requirements at Emirates Stadium after falling out of favour last season. He spent the first half of the campaign on the fringes of the team before joining Inter Milan on loan in January. understands that Galatasaray have offered Podolski a contract and the Turkish club have been in negotiations with Arsenal about a deal that is now close to completion. Arsene Wenger regards him to be at the bottom of the pecking order of senior forwards and attacking midfielders at Arsenal, where he is vying for a place with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck.
