Man City exit beckons for Gabriel Jesus as two strikers set to arrive - pundit
Gabriel Jesus is set to leave Man City this summer to make room for Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
That is the view of former Spurs and England number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Jesus' future at the Etihad.
On Tuesday (10 May), Manchester City announced they have reached an agreement in principle for the signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
The Norway international will be one of two forwards arriving at the Etihad this summer.
Julian Alvarez will finally link up with Pep Guardiola's side in July at the end of his loan spell at River Plate - the club he permanently joined City from on 31 January.
When asked by Football Insider's Dylan Childs if the duo's arrival would impact Jesus, Robinson said: "His time at Man City is coming to an end.
"I think the writing is on the wall for him.
"You look at City this year and the amount of chances they are creating every game. If they had a proven goalscorer up there like Haaland, they would have won the league six weeks ago.
"One thing stands out in my mind, when Man United played City and Liverpool in quick succession. City only put two past them but if City had a number nine they would have put 22 past them. It was one-way traffic."
Jesus, 25, has just over 12 months remaining on his contract with City.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.
