Man United in talks to sell three first-XI stars - 'two of them don't want to go'

Man United to sell Hojlund, Zirkzee as Chelsea pursue Garnacho

One piece of good news for the 20-time champions of England is that Chelsea's talks with United for Alejandro Garnacho are progressing [The Athletic].
That still leaves the club with a group of highly-compensated, yet unwanted stars, but the Red Devils are not yet in a financial position where sales are necessary, despite spending over £200million [transfermarkt] on Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo.
Speaking to Football Insider exclusively, Plumley explained the club's "bizarre" financial position and their plans for Hojlund and Zirkzee.
He said: "We know that they're looking to shift on Hojlund for about £30million, but he wants to stay. Zirkzee would be another one.
"Chelsea are ramping up Garnacho talks and are trying to do a deal there, so it's likely that some of those players go.
"We've talked about them all summer as the ones that would likely be outgoings, even irrespective of who they brought in.
"Those players that we're looking at there would be the ones that would be making way. They're not desperate to sell.
"I know that they've spent a lot of money, but it is affordable for Manchester United, and that seems bizarre in the context of what we're talking about the club, but there's no issues kind of that side of things.
"I do think the club will look to shift those players on, and if you can recoup some decent money for Hojlund and one or two others, then that just balances it out a little bit."
Gianluigi Donnarumma could be Andre Onana replacement
