Marco Silva could be set to quit Fulham after he’s been linked with several jobs following his work at Craven Cottage.

The Portuguese manager has spent the past four years with the Premier League side after joining them in 2021 following previous spells at Everton, Watford and Hull City.

The 47-year-old guided the Cottagers back to the top flight in his first season in charge, having claimed the Championship title.

Silva has since gone on to help Fulham cement their place in the Premier League following back-to-back mid-table finishes.

The west London club currently sit 11th in the table, but they are just two points behind eighth-place Bournemouth heading into the final three games of the campaign.

An eighth-place finish could be enough to secure a spot in next season’s Conference League if Manchester City beat Crystal Palace in the upcoming FA Cup final.

Marco Silva in pole position to join Saudi club

Silva was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, but he decided to remain at Craven Cottage.

However, his future is firmly in the spotlight again, with his contract set to expire in June 2026.

The Portuguese has an £8million release clause in his contract, meaning Fulham would be powerless if he decides he wants to leave the club.

Spurs aren’t the only side Craven Cottage chiefs need to worry about after talkSPORT reported on 7 May Silva is a “leading candidate” to land the Al-Hilal job following Jorge Jesus's sacking.

Al-Hilal are the most valuable club in the Saudi Pro League and could offer the Fulham boss a lucrative deal to join them.

With the increased attention surrounding Silva, it feels almost certain he will eventually decide to leave Craven Cottage for more money or a top club.

Although Spurs currently sit 16th in the Premier League table - 13 points behind Fulham - they could be able to offer Silva Champions League football next season if they win the Europa League.

During his time with the Cottagers, Silva has claimed 83 victories in 181 matches, with his win record standing at 44.8 per cent.

Fulham in talks about Joao Palhinha return

In terms of on-field matters, recruitment expert Mick Brown told Football Insider Fulham have held talks about re-signing Joao Palhinha ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Portugal international is believed to be open to a return to the Premier League after struggling for game time since joining Bayern Munich in a £47.4million deal last July.

The 29-year-old midfielder has made just nine starts in his 23 appearances for the Bundesliga giants this season.
