Wolves have made striker Joe Mason available on loan in a move that has alerted a number of Championship clubs to his availability, Football Insider sources understand.

Mason's future at Molineux has been the subject of conjecture due to a massive revamp of the playing squad this summer.

Big-spending Wolves have been busy reshaping their squad under new manager Nuno Espírito Santo with striker Leo Bonatini becoming the club's 11th signing of the summer after signing on a season-long loan from Al Hilal.

The arrival of Bonatini has pushed Mason down the pecking order in the battle to start up front for Wolves ahead of the new season.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Nuno is willing to let the 26-year-old go out on loan as he looks to trim down his squad.

Fulham, Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers are all keeping tabs on Mason's situation and could now move for him following Wolves' decision to make him available.

Mason switched to Molineux from Cardiff in January 2016, but he has struggled to impress at the club due to fitness and form concerns.

Mason has scored just seven goals in 37 appearances for Wolves, but he is sure to have no shortage of admirers in the Championship after impressing for Cardiff and Bolton prior to his move to Wolves.
