Man United's new man Matheus Cunha and Diogo Dalot reacted to a message from Wolves defender Nelson Semedo ahead of a mooted summer move.

The Old Gold enjoyed a turnaround in fortunes in the second half of the 2024/25 season after appointing Vitor Pereira to replace Gary O'Neil.

The Portuguese manager endeared himself to Wolves fans by appearing at local pubs to drink with fans after the games, whilst steering his side away from the danger of relegation.

But Pereira and the Old Gold now have a tough task on their hands as they face the prospect of replacing several key players this summer.

Wolves will have plenty of cash to fund their rebuild, but replacing numerous star players in the same transfer window would be a daunting task for any side.

Man United stars react to Nelson Semedo message

Semedo came off the bench to feature in Portugal's 2-1 Nations League semi-final win over Germany on Wednesday evening (4 June).

After the victory, Wolves' captain shared several photos of himself in action on Instagram, captioned: "Forca Portugal".

The post was liked by United's players Cunha and Dalot, showing support for the talented right-back.

Nelson Semedo linked with summer switch to Galatasaray

Football Insider Verdict

Football Insider has exclusively reported that Galatasaray are pushing to win the race to sign Semedo in what will be a disappointment to Pereira.

The Wolves captain is an attractive choice for several clubs due to his experience and the lack of a transfer fee.

Semedo joined the Old Gold from Barcelona in the summer of 2020, and after a tricky start to life in the Midlands, the defender has blossomed into one of the Premier League's best right-backs.

The Portugal international registered five assists last season, playing 37 times in all competitions for Pereira's side.

Semedo will also undoubtedly attract attention from other Premier League clubs this summer, with plenty looking for an experienced and dependable option at fullback.
