Mohammed Kudus at risk of Tottenham axe after what Thomas Frank said vs Brentford

Thomas Frank has some major issues to address before Tottenham welcome Sunderland to North London on Sunday.

Tottenham were held to a goalless draw by Brentford on Thursday, 1 January, leaving Frank's side 12th in the Premier League table, five spots behind their upcoming opponents, Sunderland.

Also facing a goalless result, Sunderland drew against Man City at the Stadium of Light, proving that the Black Cats are here to fight with the European chasers.

Spurs and Sunderland last clashed back in 2017, another goalless draw, but Frank will be hoping to improve his side's form when they meet in North London on 4 January.

Mohammed Kudus continues his struggles vs Brentford

It was a game of very few chances at the Gtech Community Stadium, with neither side really having an opportunity to go ahead, and Mohammed Kudus was certainly one who struggled.

Playing the full 90 minutes, the Ghanaian failed to create a single chance, recorded a 78 per cent pass accuracy, only had a 33 per cent shot accuracy, and completed just 33 per cent of his dribbles [FotMob].

Tottenham fans have come to expect magic from Kudus, becoming one of football's most dangerous players in the early stages of the campaign, but that appears to have dried up completely.

In his last five matches, the winger has only created three chances for his teammates, unable to grab an assist, but he did manage to hit the back of the net against Slavia Prague.

Frank is clearly looking for a reaction from his team, especially after the draw against the Bees, and his solution could be to finally bench one of his biggest names.

Speaking after the game, being asked if he wanted more chances created, he said: "Definitely, we don't create enough. I think we dealt with half of the challenge here because they are very strong at home.

"They only gave seven shots away in the whole game, so very happy with that, but we didn't create enough."

While the rest of the squad also need to take responsibility, Spurs splashed £55million on his chance-creating skills, which have clearly dried up in recent weeks. It is just not good enough.

It remains to be seen who could fill his spot on the right flank, but a total reset might be required against the Black Cats.
