Leeds legend Ian Harte has said he is "fuming" after going to watch the Leeds Under-23 side play on Friday afternoon. In an extraordinary rant on Twitter, Harte said that he went to the Leeds Under-23 game at Thorp Arch and thought that Leeds was "losing its identity". In a series of tweets released on his personal twitter page, Harte claimed "all I could hear was Spanish being spoken by players and manager. "We are a club that has over years and years brought through quality players. "But what I witnessed is players lacking passion, desire to wear the Leeds shirt with pride. Needs sorting ASAP."

Harte went on to say that he loves the club but that too many foreign players that aren't good enough are stopping younger English players' path through the club.

Leeds Under-23s struggled to a 2-2 draw against Birmingham at Thorp Arch on Friday afternoon. Goals from new signing Pascal Struijk, who joined from Ajax, and Sam Dalby earned Leeds a point but it was a battle after going two goals down. Leeds added lots of new faces to the Leeds Under-23 squad in January, with Jordan Stevens, Oliver Sarkic, Dalby, Aapo Halme, Struijk and goalkeeper Kamal Miazek swelling their ranks. Ian Harte, who played for Leeds from 1995 to 2004, isn't impressed by what he saw. In other Leeds United transfer news,
